The flat fee for a psychoeducational evaluation is $1,950, and includes the following: initial parent meeting, one hour of record review, several hours of face-to-face and/or virtual testing and several additional hours for scoring, interpretation, and report preparation, a final parent feedback meeting and a child/adolescent feedback (when appropriate).
Each evaluator may have different referral preferences and offer discounts accordingly. If you have any questions or need clarification, please contact your provider directly before proceeding.
If an approved client referral is given, the cost of the evaluation can be reduced. A deposit of $250 is due at the end of the initial meeting to secure your evaluation appointment. The remaining balance is due prior to or at the final testing session so that the clinicians can present the client with a completed written report at the feedback session.
Please note that if the first scheduled meeting is missed, a non-refundable fee of $200 will be charged to cover the cost of clinical travel and office space. Additionally, another $200 will be added for the clinician's time, bringing the total charge for a missed first appointment to $400. This policy helps ensure that resources and time are allocated efficiently.
A complete psychological evaluation involves the initial appointment, preceded by scoring and interpretation of written questionnaire measures sent in advance of the first appointment, followed by face-to-face testing measures with the examiner, usually over three to four-hour appointments and taking ten to eighteen hours total. Testing also involves scoring and interpretation of the results and the preparation of an integrative written report. These appointments will be in a virtual setting except for the evaluation appointment.
Initial consultations are free for those exploring interest in testing or evaluations. This allows potential clients to ask questions and determine if our services are a good fit.
Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel an appointment, please give a minimum of 24 hours advance notice. If this minimum is not provided, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $200 for the appointment which does not count towards your overall evaluation cost. Cancellation fees are in addition to the cost of the evaluation. Given the large amount of reserved time made available to you for testing appointments, short notice cancellations for the testing sessions may result in the cancellation of subsequent appointments.
For scheduled consultations or any additional sessions beyond the initial meeting, a fee of $150.00 per hour will apply.
Here are some limited and not exhaustive examples to clarify the consultation fee policy:
Free Initial Consultation for Interest: Example: A parent concerned about their child's academic performance contacts the practice to learn more about educational testing services. In the free initial consultation, they can ask questions about the testing process, discuss potential outcomes, and decide if they wish to proceed with a formal assessment. After the free initial consultation, the parent decides to move forward with testing and pay deposit. They schedule a follow-up consultation to review the assessment plan in detail and discuss next steps. This is part the initial interest consultation and part of the assessment process.
Additional Sessions: Example: After the initial consultation, the client decides not to proceed with the evaluation but later requests a meeting to discuss strategies for educational accommodations and ongoing support. Alternatively, following a completed evaluation, the client may seek further guidance on implementing the findings. These sessions are billed at $150.00 per hour as they are additional services beyond the initial consultation. Consultants may waive or adjust this fee at their discretion.
