Testing Languages

Testing can be conducted in English, Spanish, and French.

It starts with communication. Many times students are mislabeled due to a language difference between themselves and the evaluator. We do not want that to be the case.

Our services.

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder Evaluations

    Autism spectrum evaluations are comprehensive evaluations that include various attributes of thinking, socialization, daily functioning, and language.

    My child:

    • likes to repeat things.

    • has a good memory.

    • was talking but has stopped.

    • has trouble with toileting.

  • ADHD Evaluations

    ADHD Evaluations include the assessment of things like processing speed, working memory and impulse control.

    My child:

    ·    can’t sit still.

    ·    is irritable.

    ·    gets in trouble for being off task.

    ·    has trouble paying attention in school.

  • Acculturative Stress Evaluations

    This type of evaluation looks at changes in school culture or home culture than may be impacting functioning at the school level.

    My child:

    • just had a recent move or change in academic environment.

    • is used to Department of Defense Schooling and has moved to public schools.

    • recently moved from public school to private school.

    • not learning, but I am not sure what it is. They used to do well and now they do not. We have tried a lot of things and nothing is working.

  • Developmental Delay Evaluations

    This type of evaluation explores behaviors and milestones as compared to similar aged peers.

    My child:

    • is in PRE-K.

    • will be home schooled.

    • will be starting kindergarten.

    • My child is under the age of 9 and still not doing well in school after academic supports have been put in place.

  • Intellectual Disability Evaluations

    This type of evaluation explores cognitive functioning.

    My child:

    • needs to access additional services for long term care.

    • needs to access a program for students will intellectual disabilities.

    Parent:

    • I need an updated intellectual assessment for long-term care planning for my child.

  • Gifted Evaluations

    This type of evaluation supports educational decision making for students. Gifted and talented children and youth are those students with outstanding abilities, identified at preschool, elementary, and secondary levels.

    My child:

    • asks lots of questions about how and why.

    • has a vivid and active imagination.

    • likes to complete tasks once started.

    • tends to direct people rather than follow people.

  • Learning Disabilities

    This type of evaluation explores a number of disorders that may affect the acquisition, organization, retention, understanding or use of verbal or nonverbal information. These disorders affect learning in individuals who otherwise demonstrate at least average abilities essential for thinking and/or reasoning.

    My child:

    • writes letters and numbers backwards and they are over the age of 7.

    • has difficulty significantly in math.

    • has difficulty with spoken or written language.

    • demonstrates difficulty in organization information when presented auditorily, visually, or otherwise.

  • Socioemotional Evaluations

    Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which students acquire and effectively apply the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, achieve positive goals, show empathy for others, maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

    My child:

    • struggles to detach from me when I drop them off at school.

    • internalizes their feelings.

    • has trouble with emotional regulation and managing their feelings.

    • has difficulty making friends.

  • College Accommodation Evaluations

    This type of evaluation is to make sure your high school has the information they need to be successful in a college level learning environment.

    My child or my college bound student:

    • did well in high school, but are struggling to keep up in college?

    • excelling in some classes, but can’t seem to grasp the material in other classes.

    • you putting forth good effort, but still not getting good grades.

    • starting dual enrollment courses and has an IEP.

  • Counseling

    Counseling, which includes short-term situation-oriented professional interaction with children, parents, or other adults for amelioration or prevention of learning and adjustment problems. Counseling services relative to the practice of school psychology include verbal interaction, interviewing, behavior techniques, developmental and vocational intervention, environmental management, and group processes.

    My child:

    ·       struggles with testing anxiety.

  • Consultation

    Consultation, which includes psychoeducational, developmental, and vocational assistance or direct educational services to schools, agencies, organizations, families, or individuals related to learning problems and adjustments to those problem.

    As a parent I need:

    • practical steps to fix a problem.

    • general questions answered about what my next steps will be in helping my child.

    • someone to help me select the proper learning environment for my student.

    My organization needs:

    • Help with a project on cultural responsiveness.

  • Program Development

    Are you a looking for programming support? Program Development includes designing, implementing, or evaluating educationally and psychologically sound learning environments; acting as a catalyst for teacher involvement in adaptations and innovations; and facilitating the psychoeducational development of individual families or groups.
